Swansea Accommodation
Historic Farmhouse Accommodation in Swansea on Tasmania
Redcliffe House has grown from the original convict-built farm to a warm
and inviting home and still incorporates many of its original C1835
features. The 5.5 hectare property borders the Meredith river and is a
serene and peaceful haven for the traveller - a restful base from which to
explore Tasmania's magnificent East Coast, including Freycinet National
Park, Coles Bay and Wineglass Bay, and the penguin colony at Bicheno. Take
part in land, sea and air activities, go fishing, enjoy the fruit of our
excellent wineries, or just appreciate the stunning scenery of the
coastline. The beautiful seaside town of Swansea is just 1.5kms down the
road and provides all necessary commercial facilities and first-class dining
experiences.
Redcliffe House comprises five ensuited rooms, each with its own individual
style and character, offering a range of choices to suit most travellers. We
have two breakfast rooms and a guest lounge where you can relax and have a
complimentary port or sherry, a covered deck overlooking the vineyard
and beautiful established grounds. Go for a stroll along the riverbank, have
a picnic, observe the abundant bird life, enjoy a good read or glass of wine
or just dream the afternoon away. Your hosts Gail and Nigel are welcoming
and attentive and like their guests to feel relaxed and to enjoy the
tranquil, informal surroundings of Redcliffe House.
